Should medical care be necessary, we recommend the Diani Beach Hospital. The hospital is modernly equipped and possesses more than European standards. The hospital is approximately 6km from the house.

A pharmacy is found in the Diani-Beach-Shopping-Center.

Also the Palm Beach Hospital between Ukunda and Diani Beach has the highest medical standard.

Safari in Kenya is a must!  Here is the possibility for either a day´s outing in the Shimba Hills, 2-3 day trip to Tsavo East/ West or in the Masai Mara.

Without a doubt, the best local Safari organizer is Dennis Moser (D. M. Tours), whose office is found directly in the Diani-Shopping-Center.  German is also spoken here and the boss himself is usually in the office.

At Diani Beach there are diverse shopping centers with a jeweller's shop, pharmacy, boutiques, supermarket, fruit and vegetable stands and souvenir shops. 

However it is a must and respectful as a guest to visit the native traders, who offer pictures, wooden carvings and soapstone in their huts.

The beach pub is also a meeting place for many locals.

Located in a deep coral cave about 10m under the ground. Inside, guests can gaze at the stars through an opening in the roof, which is naturally closed when it's raining!

The restaurant is well-known and is absolutely worth a visit.
